Followed this by post by Michael Albert :These are the steps I used to attach a Gadget to my blog:

1.Sign into Gmail account
2.View blog
3.On the top bar, click Design
4.On the left side, click Layout
5.Choose where you want your gadget to display (I chose under the header)
6.Click Add a Gadget
7.Choose from list

I chose Blog Statistics to enable usage statistics to be displayed prominently.


I was able to add my gadget with no problem :)
